p.s You were all given you averages in all subject areas. Some of you are performing poorly as in below the 75% passing mark especially in Religion, Science, and Social Studies. The term has about 4 weeks left in it. Be sure that you prioritize accordingly before the rush and excitement of the Christmas season arrives.

4. Writing - summarise the presentation on crime and punishment. Include you own thoughts on the subject of crime and the criminal justice system. Is it fair? should the death penalty be legal? does it really deter crime? What are out alternatives.
Here is the outline for your next research paper:
Crime and Punishment Assignment – Grade 7
Mr. Thomas.
You are being asked to write a research report about one of the following:
1. Research the history of crime and the criminal justice system. Examine crime and punishment from a historical and a contemporary (modern) standpoint.
or
2. Research a famous crime and the issuance of justice related to that crime. Include the details of that crime leading up to the punishment.
Introduction – introduce paper; tell what your report will focus on/cover.
History of Crime and Punishment over the ages; or Background into the crime that you chose to examine.
Contemporary Attitudes towards the fairness of the criminal justice system. Flaws within the system; or Details of the trial and punishment of the crime/criminal that you chose to examine.
Conclusion – Reactions and Feedback.
The assignment must follow the steps that have been discussed, for example, note taking, outline, first draft, and final copy. The assignment must also include a cover, as well as a bibliography. The final Paper is Due December 4th. Check the schedule for due dates of the Presentation and the DRAFT. See the attached grading criteria. DO NOT COPY MATERIAL FROM YOUR SOURCE OF INFORMATION!!!! You must include a Bibliography and Cover page.
